Initial Oral Evaluations and Needs Assessments: |
 |
| |
Comunicorp completes an Oral Level Test to identify entry level of English. The Level Test assesses fluency, grammar, vocabulary and listening comprehension. A Needs Assessment is also completed to help students and teachers prioritize communication needs and set course Goals and Objectives. The Needs Assessment helps to identify what students need to do with their English, and which work-related activities students currently do or may need to do in English (eg. Present figures and describe trends in their area, defend positions in telephone conferences, read documents which arrive by email). These work activities form an integral part of the communicative practice that will be used in class. |

Organization of classes to maximize learning: |
 |
| |
Comunicorp teachers plan their classes each day with a wide variety of materials and resources but with a relatively set structure that puts modern learning theory into practice. The standard structure of Comunicorp classes utilizes the classic sequence described below:
-Review of previously introduced material and warm up.
-Introduction of the goal for today´s class including the grammar point and its function and any related vocabulary which may be necessary.
-Controlled practice.
-Guided Communicative practice (accuracy-building communicative activities).
-Free Communicative practice (fluency-building communicative activities).
-Wrap up.

Program of Study for each student: |
 |
| |
Each grammar goal in Comunicorp's Programs of Study relates to a communicative function or activity that the student will be capable of "doing" once he/she has achieved the proposed objective. Comunicorp utilizes real communicative activities to evaluate what students "Can Do" in these activities. This methodology of using "Can – Do Statements" allows students and their colleagues and supervisors to evaluate progress as students Can Do more and more of their work activities successfully in English. |

Monthly and Final Evaluations: |
 |
| |
Testing: Comunicorp tests students regularly to determine how well they are integrating what they are learning into usage. These periodic evaluations provide information about how other English speakers would perceive students' English level and how students are progressing with the CAN – DO STATEMENTS set as goals at the outset of the program.
Online evaluations: Students can access their own personal evaluations. Professionals in charge of training programs also have access to the monthly evaluations of all students in their company. Information is obtained from the Comunicorp website by entering a Username and Password which allows access to monthly and final evaluations, final levels, attendance, comments on student motivation, participation, and punctuality, and recommendations for the future. |
 |
| |
Using Benchmarks: |
 |
| |
Comunicorp has developed a system to maximize the use of evaluation time for returning and new students within a particular company. This methodology is useful for administering training program re-initiation after an extended vacation period. |
 |
| |
Program Certification and Sence: |
 |
| |
Comunicorp has been recognized by Sence since 1987. Comunicorp is certified by the Chilean Standard NCh 2728 and by ISO 9001. All Comunicorp courses have Sence codes. |
 |
| |
Coordination: |
 |
| |
To assure exemplary quality, Comunicorp has a Coordination Department which attends to the administrative needs of students and client companies. |
 |
| |
Comunicorp`s Survey of Quality: |
 |
| |
Comunicorp surveys students during the course about the quality of the teaching and administrative support they have received from Comunicorp. This survey is to provide Comunicorp with valuable information about how we can improve continuously in terms of our services and processes. |
